AUDITION INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Philadelphia Wind Symphony is an all-volunteer ensemble composed of musicians who are active performers and professionals in many different fields. The ensemble performs four to six concerts each season and will rehearse three times in a two week period to prepare for each performance.
While consistent attendance is important to sustain our high quality of performance, we remain flexible around our core member's personal schedules and engage substitute musicians as needed throughout the season. Beyond current openings for permanent personnel, we also encourage any interested woodwind, brass and percussion instrumentalists to audition for our substitute pool.
2024-25 ENSEMBLE MEMBERSHIP OPENINGS
Auditions for permanent membership are open now for the instruments below. These auditions will be held on Sunday, September 15 (2-5pm) at Roman Catholic High School. Virtual auditions (via Zoom) may also be scheduled, if necessary.
